Steps To Troubleshooting a Blank Screen on a Kindle

Black screen error can fix with proper troubleshooting steps execution. Most of the time it can be fix by hard reset but user will lose all books and everything. So to avoid this hard reset follow the given steps.

Step 1: Disconnect the charging outlet of your kindle if it is charging. 

Step 2: Swipe and release the power button on the bottom of your Kindle. The LED around some power buttons turns green for 3 seconds. This puts the Kindle to sleep.

Step 3: Slide the power button again and hold it down for about five seconds. The entire button flashes three times. Release the power button.

Step 4: Swipe up and release the power button of kindle to turn on kindle.

Step 5: Hopefully, your kindle is now turn on. In case not then first plug it your kindle on charging and make sure it’s fully charged. Then try to restart it by sliding and releasing power button.

Step 6: Check Your Kindle has up to date software version. Click Home then tap on Menu. GO to “settings” and scroll down up to the bottom where you will the version of your kindle software is running.     

Step 7: If your kindle is not up to date then update it immediately.
