Les Lilas Annual Boum Party and Auction!

Join us on Saturday, February 9th at 5:30 pm for a fun event that will be out of this
world! The Les Lilas BOUM Party will be a themed night of food, drinks, dancing, games, and
frenzied bidding!

What is a Boum?

La Boum (noun: la booem) from the French slang popular with teens for “house party.”

This is a revolutionary style of having fun where guests dine and party. This is the best occasion to show the world your moves. This dining party takes its name from the French slang for “house party,” also the name of the 1980 teen romp that launched the career of Sophie Marceau, the Parisian Molly Ringwald.

We are putting our own twist on this French event, our Boum will be a dance party and
auction for all ages to enjoy. The event will be a lively party that brings together parents,
teachers, alumni, and friends of the school. 

Our theme for this very first auction dance party is “A Fundraising Party for All” and truly it will be. Our goal is to have as many of our families and their friends participate as possible, both online or in person.

Why are we Fundraising?

Fundraising helps enhance our programs and enrich the educational experience for our students. We are hoping to raise over $5,000 making it possible for us to continue to offer important programs to benefit our students from Pre-K through 5th Grade.

All money raised will be used to fund our educational programs and specifically; much needed gym and outdoor equipment for our students, and 2018/2019 training classes for our teachers. Your donation will benefit every child.

Who is Invited?

This event is open to the community so please share and invite anyone you'd like to dance with! All are welcome.

Please purchase a ticket for anyone over 2 years old.

Ticket price includes:

• Admission to the dance
• 2 slices of pizza and 1 bottle of water per ticket holder
• Dancing
• Contests, including the limbo!
• Photo Booth
• Kid’s Craft

Suggested dress code, come as you are or break out your fanciest party outfit!
